DR. AMY TAM, DDS, MS

Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr. Amy Tam was born and raised in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. She then moved to Southern California to attend the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Tam went on to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received her certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Tam returned home to the Bay Area where she is dedicated to providing beautiful, healthy smiles. Each appointment is tailored individually with the utmost care and attention to detail. In her spare time, Dr. Tam enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, staying active, and trying new restaurants, which has allowed her to maintain her Yelp Elite badge since 2015.





DR. LOUIS TIEU, DDS, MD

Oral Surgeon & Dental Implants Specialist

Dr. Louis Tieu graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. He was selected to continue his specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Tieu also completed the Medical Doctor program and graduted from the school of Medicine at the University of California, Davis. In Dr. Tieu’s spare time, he spend his time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys reading topics on leadership, mentorship, and Tom Clancy novels.





DR. YULIA HUI, DDS

Family and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Yulia Hui was born and raised in Russia. She graduated from the prestigious Tver Medical Academy in 1999 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Hui immigrated to the United States in 2002 and has been practicing dentistry at Mai Dental Specialist since 2010. Dr Hui believe in treating all her patients like family. She loves nature and the great outdoors, spending time with her family travelling, hiking, camping, biking, and playing board games.





DR. PETER CHEN, DDS

Family and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Peter Chen grew up in San Francisco and has been there since he was eight years old. After graduating as one of the top three students from Wallenberg Traditional High School, Dr. Chen continued to his college education at UC Davis and later on obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UC San Francisco. Afterwards, Dr. Chen further honed his dentistry skills by attending 2 years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center so he can better treat his patients. Family is extremely important to Dr. Chen and that is why he treats all his patients like family members. He truly enjoys practicing at Mai Dental Specialists because of the special office environment. Having almost all aspects of dental specialists at the office allows Dr. Chen to treat his patients to the highest standard as he knows he can always obtain the help and advise of other dental specialists when needed. In addition to the dental specialists, the friendly and family oriented office staffs and dental assistants relieve Dr. Chen of his office worries and allow him to concentrate all his effort in treating his patients to the best of his ability. In his time away from work, Dr. Chen enjoys his family time spend with his wife and son.





DR. LESLEY FOX, DDS

Family and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Lesley Fox is a bay area native and lives in San Jose with her husband and their two young children. She attended UCLA for undergrad and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr Fox enjoys practicing all aspects of general dentistry and is especially fond of working with children. In her free time, Dr. Fox enjoys reading, hiking, spin classes and spending time with her family.





JONATHAN HURTADO, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jonathan is excited to be a part of our mission to deliver extraordinary dental care. Jonathan's continued commitment to dentistry and his profession will contribute to your dental health. Jonathan graduated Dental Hygiene School in Aptos, Ca from Cabrillo College, an affiliation with The University of Pacific, Aurthor A Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco. Jonathan graduated the dental hygiene program with honors and was given the Western Society of Periodontology award for excellence in periodontics. He was also awarded the High Achievers Scholarship for his outstanding commitment to his field of study. Jonathan brings with him over 24 years of experience in the field of oral maxillofacial surgery. Jonathan holds certifications in iCat tomography and is proficient in implant treatment software. He also hold licences in local anesthesia, soft tissue curettage, and nitrous oxide/ oxygen induction. Jonathan grew up in the Los Gatos, Ca and attended Los Gatos High School. Jonathan and his wife Melanie have been happily married for over 19 years. Jonathan has two sons Darius and Curtis. He enjoys spending time with his family and has a wide range of hobbies.​
